I had a relative staying at Sutton Park.. Management do not treat cna staff with respect.. They treat them as if they are not educated human beings... I notice on the weekends my relative would have to wait longer than usual to be put in bed because of the shortness of staff.. If you planing on leaving your relative at this place be aware that the staff is alway short and they work the cna like slaves.. Just sicken

Use to work there. Most of the CNAs and nurses care but are overworked and poorly managed. Training is poor and management just worries about themselves. No accountability. And area isn't safe. Only concerned with Medicare/Medicaid. Smh.

WARNING: DO NOT SENT ANY FAMILY MEMBER TO THIS PLACE. THEY WILL KILL YOU LOVED ONES!!! MY MISTAKE WAS NOT SEARCHING THOROUGHLY ABOUT THIS PLACE AND NOW THAT I WENT THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE ORDEAL DOING THE RESEARCH I FIND SEVERAL PEOPLE COMPLAIN, THE PLACE BEING FINED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND EVEN EX WORKERS COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS PLACE AS WELL, I HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON IN THE FUTURE. THE PLACE SMELLS LIKE URINE & FECES, THEY DON'T CLEAN PROPERLY, MY FAMILY AND I BELIEVE MY FATHER CAUGHT MRSA FROM THIS PLACE AND ALMOST DIED OF PNEUMONIA. STAFF ARE POORLY TRAINED AND HAVE HORRIBLE COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS. FROM THE NURSES TO ADMISSIONS NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ERRORS. THE FACILITY TRIES TO DO IS GET MONEY FROM INSURANCE LIKE MEDICARE & MEDICAID, BUT FAIL TO TAKE CARE OF THE SICK AND ELDERLY. THE ELDERLY ARE LEFT ON THE HALLWAYS ABANDONED, NO ONE TALKS TO THEM, NO ONE PAYS ANY ATTENTION, NURSES JUST PAST BY THEM. MY FATHER HAD ALMOST PAST AWAY TWICE FROM THIS PLACE, MY FATHER WAS NEGLECTED AND WHEN HE GOTTEN REALLY BAD, BAD ENOUGH TO GO TO EMERGENCY ROOM, THIS PLACE FAILED TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME OR MY FAMILY MEMBERS THAT HE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO NEW ROCHELLE EMERGENCY ROOM. IF YOU HAVE YOUR LOVED ONES AND THINKING ABOUT PUTTING THEM IN THIS PLACE, THINK TWICE. DON'T TAKE THEM TO THIS PLACE, THEY WILL KILL YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. AFTER THIS SECOND INCIDENT AFTER THE PLACE BEGGED NOT TO REMOVE MY DAD FROM THIS PLACE, I WAS TOLD FROM EVERYONE FROM THE FACILITY THAT THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, WELL IT DID. I RIGHT AWAY REMOVED MY FATHER TO A NEW PLACE. THIS PLACE ONLY CARES ABOUT DOLLARS, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR SENIORS AND LOVED ONES. AFTER I FILLED OUT PAPER WORK OVER 2 WEEKS AGO TO HAVE MY FATHERS MEDICAL RECORD, I NEVER GOT A PHONE CALL BACK I HAD TO CALL THE FACILITY BACK AND THEN BE TOLD WITH A NASTY ATTITUDE DUE TO THE FACT THAT I REMOVED MY FATHER FROM THE THIS DISGUSTING PLACE I WAS TOLD IF I WANTED MY FATHERS MEDICAL RECORD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $385 FOR PHOTO COPIES NOT THE ORIGINALS AND BE TOLD 75 CENTS PER PAGE WITH A RUDE AND CONDESCENDING VOICE. NOW THE FACILITY HAS HIJACKED MY FATHERS MEDICAL RECORD AND WONT GIVE BACK THE ORIGINAL MEDICAL RECORDS AND BE GIVEN COPIES ONLY.. BUT ONLY IF I PAID THE OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY. THE DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION SOPHIA SUTTON I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. AT THIS POINT IN TIME MY FAMILY AND I AM PURSUING TO SEARCH FOR LEGAL LITIGATION FROM THIS FACILITY AND ITS STAFF, AND CLEARLY FEEL ITS MY OBLIGATION TO INFORM EVERYONE WHO THINKS ABOUT PUTTING A LOVED ONE IN THIS HELL HOLE... DON'T DO IT !!!!! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO CLEAN HOUSE STARTING FROM THE DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS TO NURSES AND STAFF. ANY SUGGESTIONS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANY OTHER FACILITY THAN THIS PLACE, I WAS ABLE TO PLACE MY DAD AT THIS PLACE IN WHICH THE WESTCHESTER REHABILITATION IN MOUNT VERNON,NY WHERE THE CARE IS 100% BETTER AND MY FATHER HASN'T HAD ANY ISSUE AND ARE TAKING WELL CARE. **UPDATE** WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21, 2015 JUST GOT 2 HARASSING AND THREATENING PHONE CALLS BY THE DIRECTOR OF SUTTON PARK, WITH THE THREATENING AND INTIMIDATION TRYING TO TELL ME THAT SHE WAS INFORMED OF ME AND MY FAMILY EXPERIENCE AND ORDEAL IN SOCIAL MEDIA AND DUE TO THE FACT THAT I MENTIONED HER AND THE FACILITY, TRYING TO COHERST BY INTIMIDATING AND THREATENING TO SUE ME FOR SLANDERING, FOR THE FACT THAT I DID SPEAK TO HER AND OTHER MEMBERS IN ADMISSIONS AND NOW ARE DENYING IT IN WHICH I NOR MY FAMILY WILL ALLOW IT, I AND MY FAMILY HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS THE NIGHTMARE ORDEAL WE AND MY DAD WENT THROUGH. TO BE INTIMIDATED TO REMOVE OUR ORDEAL FROM THIS GHOULISH HELL HOLE OF SO CALLED "REHABILITATION CENTER". I WILL NOT REMOVE IT!!! I WILL KEEP ON UPDATING ANY INFORMATION ON WHATS HAPPENING OR IF THE THREATENING AND INTIMIDATION CONTINUES AND INFORM EVERYONE OUT THERE TO NOT SEND THERE LOVED ONES TO THIS PLACE.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
