Shut this place down---run by slum lords....it doesnt even deserve any stars....i'll be in there taking videos soon and showing everyone what goes in

  • ★★★★★ 7 months ago

I made the wrong decision in placing my Mom there... I had no choice at the time because my mother's dementia was getting severe quickly and Absolut Care was the only place that would take her right away. (now I know why) Any decent Nursing home has a waiting list from six months to more than a year because of politics and money. The less you have the longer the waiting list for a good nursing home! Absolut Care is under staffed, the facility is not clean, some of the staff should be fired in my opinion and it is extremely depressing... I cannot recommend them and if I had to make the choice again, I would wait on a waiting list. You can tell the owners from NYC do NOT care. I have visited numerous nursing homes in two counties and I am sad to say, Absolut Care is at the bottom of the list in care and quality in general. I am so sorry Mom....

they try but it needs more organization and things for people to do... my mom is there as well. You would think in Orchard park everything is better... hmm.

  • ★★★★★ 5 months ago

My mother was terrified of the orderlies that came in and tossed her very sore body around like she was a pancake... ..i wouldnt even givin a one star..but you cant move forward without...she passed with fears and nightmares of this place

This place should be shut down. Their nursing staff is a joke.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
