    Where do I begin? My mom was admitted to this place after a stint in Winthrop and had a horrible experience all around. The staff is not good at all. As a matter of fact, mom had an incident with 2 aides, including one who spoke NO English whatsoever, and I attempted to report it, first to the Night Duty Nurse, Jenny, and then to the Director of Nursing Services, Jackie Kenton. Jenny came in one evening around 6 pm and mom and I discussed the situation with her. She feigned reaching for a pen & paper then said she would let us finish our dinner and come back to write up the report with pen & paper shortly. By the time mom was ready for bed and I was about to leave is when she appeared, apologizing and saying she was too busy but would be with us shortly. After 8:30 for an 89 y.o. woman is just entirely too late. At least for my mom. Anyhoo, I f/u with the DNS and she was very "upset" about the issues and promised to get back to me. When I called her back to f/u, she said there were no employees by the names I gave her and she had to do more "research" into the matter. Still waiting, some 3 weeks later, to hear back from her. In addition, the Nurse on Duty, Louis, is terrible. Mom was prescribed 2 sitz baths daily and at 7 pm I had to go to him and ask him to administer the first one. He asked me what happened earlier in the day, as if I am in charge of the staff there. In addition, he was on his cell phone when I asked him about tending to mom and said he was "busy" and that he would be with me shortly. 1/2 hour later he was still "busy" on his cell phone and finally came to mom's aid about another 1/2 hour later. The place is dirty, has a very slow-moving elevator to reach the patients who are all on the 2nd floor or above, and the food is absolutely disgusting. I have 2 dogs and wouldn't feed them what they serve to patients here. Thankfully Rockville Centre is rife with takeout from great places so we ordered in meals for mom regularly. My SIL, who is in the medical field, attempted to reach someone several times to no avail to find out the status of my mom's rehab. The woman never got back to her. However, and this struck me as quite comical, when mom was readmitted to Winthrop, we were contacted IMMEDIATELY to ask if we wanted them to "save" her room, at a cost of over $400 per day to my mom that is payable out of pocket ONLY. This does not get covered by insurance. FYI, mom is now at a much better, cleaner, nicer, rehab center on LI. I strongly recommend you do NOT choose this place for your loved one. They are seriously understaffed and have staff that speak no English. How can you hire non-English speaking help to aid persons in rehab? Kitchen help, laundry, I can understand, but to work directly with the patients??? Please.

    Disgusting attitudes from the Director of Nursing and a nursing supervisor. Not only are they not sympathetic to what the families are going through, but also are rude and when called on it make unbelievable excuses instead of just apologizing. In addition, they gossip to family members. Hideous behavior. Never send a loved one there.

    The worse nursing center ever been too. Im here now as i write this review 3 days no hot water 5 days of cold food and counting. This nursing home is all about the MONEY, this nursing home is all about the MONEY. The nurses do the best they can with what that have, management is sucking this place dry. I was suppose to be here 7 days its day 13 excuses after excuses. If you have love ones here please check on them regularly. The only thing good about this nursing home are the nurses that work the floor
