    This place needs to be shut down. I have contacted the Ohio department of health and the state ombudsman office for lack of care and negligence. My spouse was given numerous pills in the morning without food which left him nauseous most of the day. Nurses spend most of the shift playing on cell phones. Final straw was when his blood sugar tested at 300 for three days and was not given insulin, went to urgent care where he tested over 500, they immediately transported him OSU. everyone was appalled at the lack of care or concern. Needless to say, he was transported to another facility when released from the hospital. SO IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE, DO NOT SEND THEM TO EASTLAND.

    This place needs to cease to exist. The abuse and neglect that I witnessed towards my Father and other patients was inhuman. I was physically assaulted by staff there for not allowing them to preach to me about Jesus. The nurse asked me about my pentacle, and I replied. I was told that I was the devil, I'm going to hell, and I should fall under the anointing of the Lord. And he tried to lay hands on my head, so I smacked his hands away. Then he grabbed my arm. I pulled away from him and I left the building. The next week when I entered the building this same nurse walked away from his workstation in the hallway, approached me and said the same thing 'You are a witch you are a sorceress and you WILL COME UNDER THE AUTHORITY of the blood of christ' and then he moved to put his hands on my head and I punched him to defend myself. I couldnt believe it...One of the nurses there said 'He does that all the time and I told our manager, shes waiting for you'. I spoke her about the situation and she appeared unphased and not surprised. She stated that he had a history of that type of behavior. He was abusive to my Father telling him that His daughter was a demon and that shes going to hell. Although the nursing home TOLD ME that they were aware of his behavior, they permitted him to remain there. Shortly thereafter my Father died. I would be ok if this place closed forever.

    I applied for a job at Eastland, I never stepped a foot in the door and have this gut feeling that their organization and work team has awful organization and work to do in order to be a person first HEALTHCARE facility. I called in response to set up an interview, the phone receiver bluntly was rude when I asked to speak to Linda, I heard them state "Is Linda Still here?" then sat on the phone not saying a single word, I repeated hello a couple more time before I was aggravated of hearing her breathing in response. A tip for the recruitment crew, HIRE CARING INDIVIDUALS in every area of the facility and department. Especially if it is just a front desk position, they are the first impression.
