    All of the reviews posted here are at least one, if not two, years old. The past is in the past. Liberty Retirement Community of Lima is now under brand new ownership, with a nearly entirely new senior management staff. The new staff is devoted to providing outstanding care for all of the residents and their families.

    Buster Rozier Jr. received substandard care. The majority of times Buster had to be hospitalized were due to infections which were prevalent. Of course, they never wanted to admit their incompetence. I even had to hire someone to stay with him at night to make sure Buster's needs were met. The message I want everyone to hear is as follows: Beware of Baton Rouge Health Services Community! If you are looking for a nursing home for your loved one, think twice before considering Baton Rouge. Aesthetically it is beautiful, but that is the only positive statement that can be made about the facility.

    My father Buster Rozier Jr. was under the care of Baton Rouge Health Care and encountered numerous infections that resulted in several transports to St. Rita's Medical Center and Lima Memorial Health System. The catalyst of the infections were from improperly trained staff and unprofessional practices. Baton Rouge has the outward appearance of a beautiful facility, but the internal functions leave a great deal to be desired. The care that my father received was substandard and as a result, I believe contributed to his demise. I would implore anyone considering having a loved one reside at this facility to take a very close look. Peel back the layers and you will not be pleased with what is revealed.

    Baton Rouge Health Services is a very well designed facility inside and out. I am sure millions of dollars were used for the interior and exterior but THEY FORGOT they were suppose to deliver healthcare to people. People who may need help because they may be old, sick, and/or disabled. OOPS!! This review is suppose to be about a healthcare experience. I CANNOT SAY ANYTHING POSITIVE ON THIS SITE that would reflect an overall positive experience that my son, Dan, had at this facility. He was in the hospital often for acquired preventable infections. Do your homework and investigate diligently when searching for a nursing home.

    Great place if thirty minutes is an acceptable time to wait to use the restroom. Otherwise look elseware.
