    Most of these facilities smell of urine as soon as the doors open and the staff places a fake smile on their face taking care of your family. This facility is very clean, they genuinely care for your family. The facility is decorated beautifully in the main living areas in addition to the apartments giving that extra something to the residence to not feel like they have been taken to a dump. Only four out of five stars since heating pads have been taken from the residence due to fire hazards. I definitely understand the concern but these are made with auto shut off abilities these days to prevent fires and some residence rely on the heat to subside aches and pain from arthritis.

    my mother was at briafcliff and private paying for about one and half years. for the most part it is decorated nicely and the food in that section of the nursing home is great. now she is located in the skilled nursing home area (when you run out of private funds, the government takes over through medicare). that area is nicely decorated also but the food choices is limited, they are understaffed. my mother has waited up to 2 1/2 hours to get assistance for got to bathroom and go to bed, she was ill need to go to bed and left in a chair for 2 hours, no one answers these calls. there were even several times due to her being ill, they forgot to bring dinner until 8pm after we called to complain.
