    Toured the facility. As soon as I entered, I smelled urine. Continued the tour, smell did not improve. Immediately made my mind up that family member would not stay here.

    Wounds! In my opinion, my sister lost her leg due to the terrible care and had to have a colostomy bag due to a wound so deep on her buttocks that it was to the bone! Bad staffing! Would never have my family there again!

    I see the other reviews on here and cringe! They are outdated reviews! Essex of Tallmadge just had a great state survey among many other wonderful improvements. If you want a proper look at the facility please contact them for current information or come on in for a tour. You will be pleasantly surprised!

    I've had my mother at Essex, my father in law and now my mom in-law and I see alot of care on the staffs part. Don't take all the negative into your consideration because its always an individual and hard desicion to have to use a residential facility... Thank you Essex for your kind care!
