    There are numerous nursing homes anyone can choose, whether it is for skilled services, or long term living. What visitors, residents, and staff get out of South Pointe is determined by what they contribute and their realistic expectations. We do have a giving, caring staff, from CNA, housekeeping, laundry, Nursing, Social Services, Activities along with Administration staff. Our daily main goal and focus is always on resident care. South Pointe Rehab and Care Center is a great place to work, and we do provide great care to our residents. I do not have any problem recommending South Pointe to potential residents or staff.

    We are treated like family. I've worked at companies where you're just another number... not here at Southpointe. It feels great to work with such great smart people. I'm always learning something new every day. Great atmosphere and place to further your career.

    Wish I could rate NO STARS! Pulled my mom out of here. The place is dirty. Staff are terrible and don't care. Those who do are overworked. Management there is terrible. Always has excuses why things aren't getting done then spend all day outside smoking or in their offices. The director there is just a joke. Why bother showing up at all? It was much better about 7 years ago, but has changed hands so many times and the new company is all about saving money rather than take care of the residents. I'm glad employees are finally posting reviews. Do not bring your family here!

    Coming from an employee point of view: terrible management, they say they believe in team work but come 5 pm, weekends, or holidays if the building is low staff they'd rather keep us understaffed than come in on their time. But they're okay with the over worked staff to unable to leave due to terrible staffing. They don't seem to understand that when there is not proper staff then proper care does not get done. Having 1 aide on a hall of say 50 people... how many showers do you think were given? How many people do you think were checked every 2 hours? You think those breathing treatments that were supposed to been done 4 times a day were actually given? I've been told by so many staff that they were physically unable to do the proper job due to this facility not having staff. Just within this last month I heard they didn't even have the legal amount for an over night shift! I worked here just shy of 1 year and not once was agency ever in the facility. Ive heard rumors that either 1) the ED is to cheap to pay agency or 2) agency won't work there because last time south pointe used them and then refused to pay for their services. Who knows what is honestly true. All I know is that they're always working short and proper care is always unsure.
