    Just today I was looking for a place closer to us to transfer my dad from his actual nursing home in Reading PA, and after some visits to others centers with my uncle, we choose GUH because looks a nice facility, nice rehabilitation gym, our guide Susan from admissions was very nice and pleasant, she interact with the residents on a daily basis. Just giving 4 stars because on upper levels where the residents are, you smell a particular odor like a hospital, that's because the carpet. It would be better without it since carpet keep all odors when spills occurs. But overall, it's very convenient for us because it's very close, and that's everything for us, we can go anytime to visit or take him out. Hopefully my dad will feel better on this place, starting transfer process.

    Glendale has very attentive staff who greet you upon entering the building and are willing to help. Nursing and therapy provided quality care to ensure my loved one regained mobility and were able to return home. I would recommend Glendale for short term and long term care for my friends and family!

    This facility should be shut down, they are responsible for the death of my father in-law. The staff is lazy and unprofessional, and have the worse attitudes, they DO NOT care about anything more than collecting a pay check. I wouldn't even send my most hated enemy to this disgusting facility.

    My grandmother has lived at Glendale nursing center for 3 years now. As soon as my family walked in we were greeted warmly and felt an immediate sense of relief knowing we chose the write place for her to live. The staff is friendly,caring and genuinely care about the residents and there families. We love Glendale. We would never go anywhere else. Such a clean, friendly, loving place!

    I'm currently employed as an LPN at Glendale Uptown home. I've been a Nurse for five years, and have extensive experience on critical care units. I can honestly say that I have never worked with such a compassionate, caring group of people.. from the Dietary Department, Maintenance, Housekeeping, CNAs, Nursing, and Administration....Not only toward the residents, but toward each other. I recently had a family member who needed short-term placement and without hesitation I recommended Glendale. I think that is the best review anyone could give.. if I'm willing to put my loved one in their care, I would absolutely recommend Glendale for your family.
