My friend is a patient and receiving excellent care- Personal and compassionate. As a visitor, I found it difficult to navigate with poor signage and no staff at the entrance to assist.

As a Catholic priest, I visit nursing homes often in the course of my daily ministry. Members of the St. Elizabeth community are often the cleanest, and well operated nursing homes around. St. Elizabeth Manor is no exception. The staff are very helpful, and they have a genuine interest in the residents they serve. I would trust them with any of my family members.

The most wonderful facility I have ever had the pleasure of working with, THE NURSING GROUP INCLUDING MANAGERS, AND EVERYONE IN A MANAGERIAL ROLE, EX. MANAGER OF HUMAN RESOURCES, THE CMT'S ARE AMAZING , THE CNA'S WORK VERY HARD TO MAKE ST. ELIZABETH'S RESIDENTS FEEL AT HOME. ADMINISTRATION IS KIND AND UNDERSTANDING AND GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR THE RESIDENTS THAT LIVE THERE AND ESPECIALLY THEIR EMPLOYEES AND POSSIBLE AND FUTURE EMPLOYEES. THIS IS A PLACE OF QUALITY, FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE. I AM THRILLED TO BE A PART OF THIS GROUP. IF A FAMILY MEMBER IS IN NEED OF THERAPY, SHORT OR LONG TERM CARE, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. IF YOU WANT GOOD CARE AND LOVE IS A PART OF YOUR LIFE PLAN FOR YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, I FIRMLY BELIEVE ST. ELIZABETH MANOR, EAST BAY IS WHERE THEY WOULD BE PLACED IF IT WERE MY FAMILY MEMBER OR MYSELF. THIS FACILITY IS A 10 STAR FACILITY, AND I AM A NURSE.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
