    I moved to Claude in the early 2000's and heard through a friend who's mother-in-law was a resident at this home at the time, that the employees treated the residents poorly. As someone who has talked to my grandparents every day my entire life, and loves elderly people-this made me very sad. So I decided to get a job there and treat the residents with the respect they deserved. Unfortunately, my friend was right. The nursing staff was more interested in sharing tales of drunkenness from the night before with each other, than they were about taking actual quality care of their residents. One employee actually told me that it was okay that this resident wasn't eating because they were about to die anyways. And as long as I live, I will never forget how insensitive they are when someone actually does die... As it turns out, if you do your job correctly and have actual care for the residents, they plot against you to get you fired with outlandish, ridiculous claims. More than likely because they were being held accountable for what they should have been doing and did not like that. Then they stick together to support each other/ cooberate stories to get rid of you and you can't do anything about it. Especially if you are the new person in town, and at their crooked establishment. I don't think too highly of the director Diane Hill as well. As a director, she should have been able to figure out that her employees were not telling the truth. But this honestly isn't about me or my experience there- that was 16 years ago and I haven't lived in Claude in years. I was simply thinking about my grandparents today, and how I promised them after working here-that I would never put them in a nursing home, and because I love elderly people so much, I want other families to know that they should seek other options for their loved ones. These people are only there for a paycheck, they do not have the residents best interest at heart.
