The absolute worst of any Hospital in town. I turned them into the State Dept. Of Health in Austin, as well as the USS. Father went in for a simple procedure . He passed away Tuesday. Doctor Saleem is above and beyond. We will always have him in our prayers. Doctor Chen the hospital Doc is the worst, most unprofessional Person.Tuesday .

My brother-in-law was admitted in a catatonic state. Spohn has no psychiatrists or psychologists who can make calls there. One doctor suggested he be taken home and let die with hospice care. Unbelievably due to hospital regulations it took 5 weeks to get him moved from Spohn to St. Luke's in Houston. With the real doctors at St Luke's he was responding to medication within 2 days and improved dramatically and was able to return home within a couple of weeks. Unless you are ready to die, avoid Spohn at all costs.

Saved my husband's life. Best care we could have ever received. Forever grateful.

People are Rude and lazy I was the only one in the emergency room and the didn't take time to clean or give instructions on how to clean spider bite. Second time I went back Dr. ROBERTS was awesome took the time to really evaluate my condition. I like his service but the other doctor from first night, I can't recall his name, I will look threw my records, he was awful.

Rather than evaluating a patient as an individual, they try to force everybody into the same general mold. Every patient is different and should be treated according to their specific criteria. Most of these doctors and nurses are doing internship in the ER and even the seasoned doctors that work for the hospital were giving wrong information on my husband. They had another patients information. They give you a bunch of nonsense talk without getting to the point on what is wrong with a patient. Medications were being given late (if at all). The system here is broken and needs a complete overhaul. The level of care here is really bad. I wish I had something more positive to say, but with the exception of a few nurses; most just lack complete training or over worked to the point of mistakes being made. This is only the tip of the sadness. I hope and pray they can get it fixed....

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
