    Staff is wonderful from Nurses all throughout each and every department. We are always informed what is going on with our Mother. They make sure she is clean, fed, and in a safe environment. The cleaning staff is very good. We transferred from a different Nursing home which was a far cry from this place. Being in the medical field I can say this place is one of the BEST places for your love one to be. THEY ARE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY.

    I walked into a mess when I started with this company. I received no training. Had it not been for my previous experience and self starter skills I would have caved. The HR department was a nightmare. Staff had not had merit increases for 2 plus years. Staff turnover was and continued to be con stand critical issue. Lots of protocol in place but not followed. There was no improvement noted for the entire year and 1 month I was there. Throw in the distance that I drove to work there it ended up being to much for me. Like, figthing city hall.

    The facility is nightmare to work at, the company does not respect or care about the staff; the staff is underpaid & over worked! the agency is privately owned,therefore, rules are made up along the way in-spite of the employee hand book. The regional team is suppose to be designed to assist & direct the direct staff, instead they created havoc, distrust & pure confusion! The regional team consistently displays negative energy, which affects the direct staff moral & ability to provide direct care. Micro management is their preferred method of leadership,,,meaning that the administrators are not allowed to run the individual buildings to make them be effective. Upper management has a tendency to undermined, demean & place blame on direct management staff. Corporate & regional management allows the staff to work under unsafe conditions. This working style of Nexion has resulted in Duncanville having a massive turn over with Administrators, Director of Nurses, Social Workers & direct staff, Lack of consistent key personnel has resulted in several Immediate Jeopardy tags and general health care infractions from the State of Texas in recent months. The bottom line in the end, the ones who truly suffer from this type of turmoil are the clients who live there and are dependent on the staff to care for them; constant change in staff affects their care & their moral as well.
