    I was in a catastrophic wreak in 2011. My stay lasted about a year. I love Oak Grove Nursing Home! I received top notch care. The nurses were very attentive, professional, as well as compassionate. They were doing rounds every 4 hours and came quickly if I hit the call button. The aides were friendly and constantly monitoring patients. There is scheduled bathing times and if a patient soiled themselves they were cleaned, changed, and bedding changed quickly. The owner and administrators were on site every day to supervise. The food was excellent. Most of the staff were tenured, and no abuse of patients tolerated. There were staff that were terminated while I was there, and for just cause. This was the cleanest nursing home i have ever seen. Your room cleaned every day and sterilized with Clorox ect every Friday. If I need to go back to assisted living, I am going to Oak Grove!

    My father was there several years ago and we felt that he received good care during his final days of alzheimer's. My mother is there for her second time. She has nothing but good things to say about Oak Grove. The nursing staff are so attentive and nice and she LOVES the home cooked meals. Here rehab team really works with her and we feel blessed that Oak Grove could take her again.

    Was really hoping my dad was going to receive great care here after the review from health department but that wasn't the case. I'm saddened to think how many people may have been or are being treated the same as my father was or worse maybe (glad we found a better place). Nursing care was minimal, slow to respond to med request, couldn't follow doctors written orders on how to care for a sore and food was grade school level at best sometimes not edible (food was brought in for my father most days so he'd have something decent to eat). I will say they kept things clean for the most part. There was favoritism shown for some over others and learned this was a directive from administration. Administration needs to learn exactly what they are in business for and not the almighty dollar, their communication skills left a lot to be desired. When Medicare was due to expire there was no offer to continue to stay, they basically kicked my father out without much of a notice. The good Lord was looking out for my father in the end because we found a much nicer, friendlier place with excellent care, food and atmosphere than Oak Grove will ever come close to. May father is a much happier person and is thriving in his new location with great hopes of continuing rehab to the point of going home.
