    Horrible place to leave a loved one. Disgusting facility. They leave their residents in their filth and don't provide care when they need it. The Healthcare system has failed again. Nursing staff has no idea what they are doing.

    Originally this was the perfect place for our great grandmother. The facility had been recommended by Parkland as an idea place for my grandmother due to her having dementia and them offering a secured wing. She was recently referred by the social worker there at Westridge to an off site behavioral health hospital so that she could be observed for 5-7 days. After her 4th day of being observed, Westridge Nursing contacted my family to notify us that they were discharging my grandmother because they could no longer care for her. We were totally surprised by this decision. There were no signs or talk that discharging her was even a posibility. Westridge stated that she needed more one on one care. However this had never been expressed to the family. It appears to us that the desicion to no longer care for her had been decided long before referring her to the mental health hospital. The referral appered to be an excuse for them to no longer care for her.
