I am currently a patient here recovering from major surgery. I give Accel my highest possible recommendation. With very few exceptions, I have been handled with dignity, respect and genuine caring. Even more than that, there are people who work at this facility that are some of the kindest people I've ever met. From the physical therapists to the nurses to the kitchen and custodial staffs, this facility is top notch. And to top it off, the grounds and accommodations are clean, handsome and easy to navigate by wheelchair. In closing, I'd like to ask the reader to bear in mind 2 things: 1. The average age of clients at this facility is probably around 75 years of age. How many of those highly-satisfied elderly clients even own a computer, much less know how to leave an online review? 2. With rare exceptions, the people who come online to leave a review are those that have a bad experience. Satisfied clients almost never come online to gush their satisfaction in writing. I hope my words

i was looking for my mother a long term care facility and i decided to visit the building on my way to Walmart and this is what i see .so i decided to go to Walmart and shop this was really on my mind so i came back an hour later and she was still sleep in the same spot .the lights was on and no one was at the nurses desk and this was right in the tv area .how could you watch over other peoples lives and your sleep for over two hours and on my way out the door i got lost and i see a car parked under the car pool with a worker in her car sleep. I sent this picture to corporate and no one responded or return my calls this building need to be closed down . i had to put this star to post so minus it

Before the owner replies with a prewritten statement telling me to contact the Administrator, she's your problem!! The turnover is ridiculously high. You have CNAs who are there simply for a paycheck, they ignore hallway lights because its, "not their hallway". While there I've witnessed a couple patients die, one recently passed a day after getting to Accel at Willowbend.. the CNA told me the patient was found with NO OXYGEN on!!! So they responded by firing the Director of nursing, not her fault. They need to fire the Administrator.. everything happens on her watch! The only joy we found there was going to the dinning room, Anson who works there is great! My mom loves him. Overall the place looks great! But the true horrors lie within. This place is a joke and I do not recommend it AT ALL!!!

Horrible. Don't let your dog go here. Mom had hip surgery on saturday and has demencia. Baylor moved her to Accel. She took the first bite of her and would not take the second bite of her pain med with apple sauce so they didn't give it to her! Not a full dose. Really. took hours after transport from the hospital to finally get them to order pain meds that were needed. They don't answer the phone at night. You have to call repeatedly!! She is now laying in pain until till the nurse calls me back in the am to tell me she got the rest of her pain med. I can't get there in the morning. Do you want this for your love one.

Compare The Number of Problems

Types of Problems at Nursing Homes

Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.

  Residents Affected
Severity of the Deficiency Few Some Many
Immediate jeopardy to resident health or safety J K L
Actual harm that is not immediate jeopardy G H I
No actual harm with potential for more than minimal harm that is not immediate jeopardy D E F
No actual harm with potential for minimal harm A B C
