    You would think that if your love one is going for convalesce or rehab care that the facility nursing and house doctor would respect the specialist plan of care. Our love one went in for just strengthening after surgery. The quality of care declined- particularly the deficiencies in a way that maintains or improves level of health defaulted and adherence was ignored. Providing care means allowing the residents the right to participate in the planning or revision of care of treatment. Being condescending as a DON and house doctor by ignoring the patient doctor's orders and creating new health issues while not properly taking care of exiting one is unethical. Additionally, I am sure there is a violation of HIPPA. Saying that ones expectation of a nursing home is above and beon what nursing home care services should provide is a red flag to anyone wanting convalesce or rehab care. The DON and house doctor need to come up to new standard of long term care offered at more modern facilities. Buyer beware of the word " rehab" for its in name only.
