    I know several residents of the Chesapeake and they love it. But when the mother of a close friend had to go there for rehabilitation after an illness, I was very impressed. My father in law had to stay a couple of months in another facility in NC and while the staff was friendly and helpful, the Chesapeake's decor and atmosphere is so much better! Everyone we spoke with was smiling and very professional. I believe both environment and helpful staff are critical to the healing and well being of the residents.

    Our parents moved to the Chesapeake 14 years ago, and have progressed from Independent, to Assisted Living to Health Care. The facility is just 1-1/2 miles from a world class hospital, so event when dad had an emergency and needed major surgery on New Years Eve, the outcome was more successful -- for him at age 93 -- than others who have that surgery at a much younger age. It didn't hurt that the Chesapeake had a relationship with a world class rehabilitation facility where he stayed until his return to the Chesapeake. Over the last 14 years, the Chesapeake has not only met their contractual requirements to our family, their wonderful staff has far, far, exceeded them. It's been such a good experience, that we're planning to move in after we retire !
