    I don't have to worry if my mom is laying on the floor for days, everyone looks out for everyone, the nurses love their patients and the care they give. Amway greeted with friendliness

    The food at Mt. Baker is amazing. My mom may never leave. The staff are all fantastic. There is no such thing as "that is not my job" everyone is so helpful. The rehab is state of the art. The place is so clean and tidy. Thanks so much for taking care of my mom, Aly--she just loves this facility.

    as a working at mt baker care center. I just want people to know that we don't make the menus. we eat the food also but some of it I refuse if you have a problem go there and express your concern not on here..

    I am an RN BSN and am extremely disappointed in the quality of nursing knowledge of many of the RN's employed here, and of the lack of nutritionist oversight of the kitchen. My mother was here for rehab after an extensive open heart surgery. The physical therapy is wonderful, the food is extremely unhealthy high fat, low fiber fare. The dietary staff and nursing staff need to be educated on healthy diet. Low salt diet just means no salt provided on the tray. The food is loaded with salt and unhealthy fats. Nursing staff does not know what heart healthy diet is. We were told by an RN that bacon and sausage are perfectly OK to eat once a week on heart healthy diet. All one needs to do is check the American Heart Association web site to see that this is not a reality. Sandwiches made with white bread and prepared lunch meats are frequently provided. Both are loaded with salt and unhealthy fats. I wonder if the kitchen staff ever tastes the food they serve. It was all highly seasoned with pepper and salt. Until changes are made I would not recommend this facility for post hospital rehab.
