    So far it has been a good experience. My mom is in the west wing of the building, which, I think is focused on short to medium stay rehab. It is actually very peaceful and her room is spacious. She's able to keep her windows open for fresh air. The staff is caring and efficient. We had a bit of a rough start, because Mom checked in on a Friday evening and I felt she was not really under a doctor's care until the attending was able to see her on Tuesday. We had a lot of concerns about the medications she was on from the orders left over from the hospital. Hindsight for me is to make sure I have all the information from the doctors at the hospital before discharge, because once you're out of there it is hard to get any answers. After we got to see the doctor, we felt much better. He was very thorough and addressed all our concerns. I'm not sure why there is a bad review about the smell. I rarely smell anything unpleasant in the building, and it smells better than any other SNF I've been in before. The therapy staff is great-with the right amount of listening to moms concerns about being tired, balanced with encouragement for her to keep working to reach her goals--to get better and go home!!

    After having emergency hip surgery this was the place we chose. We heard about them through our friend's, whose mother had been in there a year ago for a fractured wrist and they we're impressed. If I could I'd give them a 10 out of 5 star rating, I would! All the employees were professional, helpful & friendly. Every nurse I saw at their station were very diligent & careful with the way they handled medications, including the few I took. The CNA's very hard-working & kind, some patients were very hard to be around, yet all I saw was compassion. The PT & OT really helped me get on my feet quickly. Many of the other residents I met spoke highly of this place. The food was decent & there were accommodations with my special diet, including gluten free. They offered a variety of activities to participate in, if one wanted to. The decor is lovely as well.

    Gerald, the social worker is completely useless. He was zero help in finding an affordable alternative home for my mother's 24 hour needs. He does not return phone calls but will go out of his way to make sure you sign the financial responsibility forms. He would have charged us an additional 3 days out of pocket because he did not want to release my mother on a Saturday. We demanded that he make it happen regardless of staffing issues. This would have cost us an additional 900.00 plus! One of the nurses was not marking the medicine chart when giving my mother medication as well. I find that the most alarming! I have left over 4 messages in 5 days regarding the unused medication and what happened to it and no one will return my calls. There was one nurse by the name of Brett that was the only helpful person to us and ALWAYS did what he said he would do. If you have a choice don't put your loved ones in this facility!!!!!

    The whole place smells disgusting, the staff is completely useless and well over half the time does not respond to any calls. Every person I saw at the home seemed miserable and unclean. These people should be ashamed to even have this place running let alone call themselves "Skilled Nursing." Please, don't allow your family member to suffer in this place because after less than one day, my uncle had to leave because of the lack of service and horrible smell. I physically threw up when I first entered the home due to the smell. These people should be ashamed.
