    Wow this is a nice place, very grand and spacious when walking into the lobby, looks like a hotel. For as long as I can remember my grandpa has never been motivated to "exercise" to lose some weight and help improve his heart after a triple bypass. Earlier this year my grandpa had a bad fall with some cracked or broken ribs and some other injuries. He stayed here for physical therapy and the staff are friendly and very helpful. But because this facility is designed for short term stays for rehab the physical therapy staff also do what they can to motivate someone to exercise so they can heal and get back to living their lives. From what I heard from other family my grandpa wasn't doing as much exercise as he should've to regain his strength and heal. I think it was after 60 some days they gave him a seven day notice to find another place where he can stay long term. In a rush two of my aunts found the assisted living facility Brookdale Courtyard on South Hill and we had to rush to get his new apartment setup there.     Good environment and care for my Dad. Communication and follow through with family was poor. Challenging to do your best on behalf of your loved one when information is spotty, incorrect, or last minute.
